Well, it's started - the cutting is done and the blocks are coming together. I've put the soft grey in the first block, as I build the quilt I'll audition other fabrics.

I'm pretty sure I know what it needs just by looking at the pictures. Any thoughts??
I'm thinking of using a dark grey inner border and the light grey floral for the outer border.
Back to sewing - it's getting fun now!!

I love the colors and you choice of dark/light gray for the borders is perfect!
Yes! Those borders are going to be great!
You have a nice design wall..perfect for your project. Scrappy is my favorite...yours is looking great...it's fun seeing it grow!
It's looking great! The color combo is wonderful. I immediately thought of lipsticks - in all shades of red and pink - when I first saw it. Looks like you're having a good time with the layout.
The gray borders will be just what this quilt needs. With such a scrappy look, the colors are blending together nicely, but the borders will soften everything to your eyes. It is a fantastic quilt. I love your scrappy look up on the design wall.
Have fun at the retreat!
The colors and pattern is quite stunning
