It was a wonderful day

My day has come and gone, but it was wonderful. What I realized is that I have been waiting for this special birthday for a LONG time.  I think in the same way that teenagers look forward to turning 16, so was I.  Only I had to wait 64 years for it!!

I spent the weekend on the Gulf of Mexico in a condo with my sister and my very good friend.
We are so blessed to live in a place like this.
It was chilly but as they say, a cold day at the beach is better than no day at the beach.
We went to Texas Roadhouse on Monday with a bunch of friends and I forgot I would have to ride the bull!!  So much fun.
I have hung Purple Pickles in honor of February, amethyst and my birthday.  It looks so pretty hanging in the living room.
I'm still basking in the glow.  And my big present from my hubby isn't here yet, he's getting me a new car for my 16th birthday!!  EEK!!  We're still looking for the perfect one at the perfect price, but we're getting close.
Happy stitching,
Karen

My Wonderful Un-Birthday

I have had the most fun the last two days.  I will post about that tomorrow, but for now I'm sharing my birthday fun from last night.  As a Leap Year Baby, I get to celebrate 3 un-birthdays in between my "real" birthdays.
After a wonderful dinner with my DH at our favorite Thai restaurant, we went to my sister's house where my hubby gave me Victoria's new book!!  I've been wanting to get my hands on this for a while.  I'm so excited to read it and I've already picked out my next project :).
And then we had some birthday cake and cannolis - a perfect ending to my un-birthday.
Life is good,
Karen

It's Leap Day!!!

Today is a very special day for some people and I'm one!! I was born on this day and today I'm turning 15 years old!! It's been a fun thing for me to be a Leap Year Baby.
My husband has taken me to North Carolina to celebrate with my children and grandchildren. What a treat! I hope you all have a wonderful day - I know I will :).
