Well it seems the second step is not any easier. I can't even begin to describe how out of my comfort zone I feel. I keep telling myself this is a good thing. I seem to be struggling making choices with each step. I haven't decided in a background fabric but I did buy 1/2 yard of the dot that Jen used. I'm trying not to buy too much fabric. So, ask me how that's going LOL!!
I do think the dark fabric helps set off the fabrics. I'm not totally crazy about the stripe but I already had it. Now I'm working on the petals so there won't be much progress for a while.n at least I'll enjoy the appliqué 😊.
Happy stitching,
Karen

I like stripes and this one seems to work.
I am not sure of the stripe too. Do you have any other choices?
It looks like it's working to me! Some of these challenges turn into the very best quilts.:)
I looks great - good for you for stretching your comfort zone.
I love the mix of fabrics
I think you have made a great start--very fun!
I LOVE the stripes!
I like it a lot! I know what you mean about being out of your comfort zone. That's how I feel about the Dear Jane quilt. It's good to be challenged.
