This quilt is going to be so far out of my normal comfort zone!! It almost DOES glow in the dark! I am definitely going to use the pink Kaffe for the border, but will cut it width of fabric so the pattern won't repeat like this. What is your opinion about the blue inner border??
I used to have some fabric that glowed in the dark. It was a Halloween print & I made myself a blouse from it. I didn't realize it glowed in the dark until I opened the closet door one night. Spooky. I like your pineapple quilt even if it is out of your comfort zone. You will enjoy it.
Oh I love this quilt - the brighter the better in my humble opinion. I like the blue inner border and that Kaffee Fasset fabric is perfect. This is one gorgeous quilt!
This is going to be one beautiful quilt, Karen! Even though I love the Kaffe fabric,if it were me, I probably would not put any border on it at all. I'm not sure that it adds to the quilt....sometimes less is more. But, that's just me!
It's beautiful, Karen. Going outside the comfort zone really can be fun, can't it? I agree with using the blue inner border. It creates a definitive frame around the busy pineapple blocks before adding your wonderful border.
I like the idea of the blue inner border, but in the photograph showing the entire quilt (from a distance), the blue really jumps out while the border recedes. Maybe the photograph is not showing the effect of the border accurately (or my computer color settings are off!). but the border seems to distract from the pineapples and the gorgeous border fabric. I have always meant to do a pineapple quilt - ever since the Dixie Haywood days. You inspire me!

Love the quilt! And I think the blue is perfect for the inner border. :0)
Karen, your pineapple quilt is gorgeous. Fun and bright and oh so cheery! I like the blue inner border. What size are your blocks?
I'll just go get my sunglasses, lol. Fabulous quilt, very fun.
What a fun and beautiful quilt!!
I missed this post, and I'm glad I read further! Your pineapples are amazing. My two blocks still need friends. :-)
