Pink and Brown - Still Growing

I know this is a L/E project which means you're supposed to work on this in between another project. But sometimes things just take over.  I think this is a quilt that's been waiting a long time to be born and now is the time.
I moved the pieces to the design wall when it became evident this project was moving full speed ahead.
And I found some more "perfect " fabrics and how fun is it when they are dated??  I know the RP from Moda is also from the late 90's.  I also like what's happening with the green in with the pink and brown.
This is going to be one of those comfort quilts.  You know, the one where you snuggle down in a chair with a good book.  I know there are lots of quilts out there that are happy and loud, but I think there will always be a place for these calm and beautiful quilts too.  At least there will be in my house.😊
Happy stitching today,
Karen

That one will be a good snuggle quilt. The colors are very soft and cozy. I like it.

I never could get in the habit of the Leader/Ender type project. I would jump in whole hog too.

Oh, look at you go! It looks spectacular. Love that piece of Old Blooms green that's ready to cut. I had a small piece in my stash and meted it out very carefully - just loved it. I think it's all used up now...maybe I should check :).

Yes, there's always a place for a soft, warm quilt like this. It's a beauty. I can see why it's taking your attention!

That quilt is just plain gorgeous! I hope the tumbler I'll be working on next will be just as gorgeous!

It's nice to see how you're using up these older prints. It's already looking vintage, and it warms my heart to know you're enjoying this project. Great work! I love leaders and enders, though this looks nothing like mine! :-)

Love this project. Pink & brown just go together.
I have a favor to ask....... If you have any of that 2003 Pat Sloan "Old Blooms" fabric leftover, I would love to purchase it from you. I used this fabric on the back of a log cabin quilt I made in 2009. Believe it or not, I still have some fat quarters and scraps leftover of all these fabrics from the log cabin, I want to make a scrappy large "hexagon quilt", and I would love to have some of this Old Blooms fabric to go with it.
