That Big Red Glob

In case you ever wondered where Pensacola, Florida is, just turn on the weather channel.  Look for the big red gob along the Gulf Coast - that would be us!!
We have had 14" of rain in the last 24 hours and it's still pouring!  We have so much sand in our soil, that it drains really fast. It's unusual to see standing water.
We've got some water coming into the back porch, but I'm so glad we have a good roof!!  I've been playing in my studio all day, will share soon :)!

Holy cow! 14" in 24 hours is unbelievable! And I thought our 9" over last weekend was a lot! Whew! Stay dry, and get lots of sewing in!

A good time to stay indoors and play. We have been having rain too but not like you. And we so need it. I am not complaining.

Your post title caught my attention. Oh dear -- I hope that sandy soil keeps draining as the rain keeps falling.
I'm sure you're making the most of your time inside. Play safe, inside and out. I hope it stops soon.
We'll be looking for your playtime results. :)

Wow! That is a LOT of rain! That you were able to stay dry ... can't wait to see what you were up to during all that rain. ;-) I sure wish you could send some up to us! Our grass, plants, trees are all showing the effects of way too much heat and dry weather ... I wouldn't expect to see such brown, crispy grass until mid-August.
