Getting So Close

I know it's been a while, I've been missing in action. But I've been busy. I always forget how long hand quilting takes especially for a bigger quilt. As you can see, I am getting so close. This quilt has been such a joy to see as the quilting design emerges. I'm still not totally pleased with the center design of feathers. I have a couple of ideas, we'll see....
I am really beyond pleased with how it's turned out. I will be excited to see it hanging at our Guild's quilt show in a few weeks. I am working on the binding now. Having a few problems, but I'll work them out.
Until next time,
Karen

This is hand quilted??? Amazing! You are my inspiration! I am considering doing a doll quilt, and can't quite talk myself into it. Gee whiz, if you can create this, then I should suck it up and get busy on something much, much smaller. This is gorgeous; you should be so proud to hang it in your guild's show.

Wow! That looks incredible! Good for you to slow down enough to spend the time it takes to hand quilt. I admire your perseverance doing it. It will be wonderful to see in the show, and I'm sure you'll get lots of oohs and aahs. Keep up the great work.

Amazing. Fabulous. Breathtaking. Just keep piling on all the complimentary words you can think of. This quilt is all of those, Karen. Give yourself a HUGE pat on your back. It's stunning!
(and I HATE, HATE, HATE that we now have 2 verification words to type. I don't have good luck. I've written 2 complaints to the Blogger folks and I've taken it off my blog. One word is clear and the other one looks like it's melting. This is stressful!)

It looks wonderful! I love it! It is an interesting quilt design, with the curved lines and straight lines. I would like to see a close up picture of the design as I am making a log cabin quilt (working on blocks from time to time, that is). I have almost 100 blocks done but they are small. How big is the quilt?

It's so beautiful, Karen. You should teach a class in hand quilting. I would love to learn!
