Full Bloom

My tree is in full bloom. I've moved these leaves until I'm pleased with the layout. Unless something really bothers me in the next few days, I'm going to leave well enough alone.
Here's a close-up of the fabric I used for the tree. It has some blue in it which I thought might bother me, but from a distance you don't notice. Up close I like the dimension it gives. Hopefully my quilting will add and not detract from this. Not sure what I'm going to do yet.

There are still several elements left as you probably noticed the hole on the right side. Guess what's going in there?? Plus I'm going to add a border this time.

Hope your Saturday is productive and fun.

Until next time,

-Karen

I'm guessing a little owl may go in your tree? It seems to be the theme lately.
I can't imagine sitting and appliquing all those leaves..well done!

It's definitely a space for a bird -- or maybe a little kitten that ate a bird? Cats end up in trees all the time, and you've been known to put a cat in a quilt or two :)
I like the fabric you chose for the tree and branches. The blue adds an element of texture.

Do you put this on with applique? I bought a quilt kit that calls for applique and I have never done it before...a little out of my comfort zone.
I love your tree....beautiful!!! Would love to try to make one myself someday!!

I think that you should leave your leaves to leave room for your kitty! ;)

It's beautiful. I love the colours. I think you're put a little cat in there.

The leaves are placed just right. Reminds me of fall in Ohio (where I lived the first 28 years of my life). I love to see fall leaves but have to head north for that.

Your tree looks wonderful! I can't decide if there will be a bird or a cat or a squirrel in your tree. I can't wait to see! :0)
