My brain is spinning

In my last post, I told you how much I love lilacs and how crazy I am about this new line by Brannock and Patek. Well, my brain has not stopped spinning all week!! I have designed a quilt using these two books and combining elements from quilts in both of them to use with Lilac Hill. I am so excited!! Can't show anything yet Do you ever feel like the next quilt you make may be your most favorite one ever?? I've got a few commitments to finish, and then I'll be able to start. I'm still waiting to find some yardage from this line. Let me know if you find some :).
This may be my most favorite part of quilting. I just love the possibilites and the joy that comes from knowing that what I am about to create has not existed exactly like this. That's what hand-made is all about to me. Stay tuned :). Have a great Saturday.
Until next time, make something beautiful,
-Karen

I can't wait to see what you design using both of these books. Both of these books are on my shelf and "High Cotton" has been calling my name! Looking forward to the final reveal!

Oh Karen, I am right there with you. I absolutely love the planning and dreaming stage of next quilts. And I too, feel that the next one will be better and even more special than the last. this had helped me to choose my quilts more carefully, and so try to avoid as much as possible for this quilt not end up as another UFO!
I am so excited to see how your quilt evolves. Lilacs were my grandma's favourite and I have a lovely story to share, i'll email you, ok? with love and admiration, always, V.

I bought two of those beautiful Lilac Hill charm packs too! We had lilacs bushes at my grandmother´s garden, and I love their fragrance! Hope to bring it in some small quilt in the future. I am too very curious what you are planing.
Cheers,
Jana

Really? You're going to make me wait to find out? :-) Can't wait to see what you do with them. I have to admit that the purple is beginning to grow on me.

Hi Karen! They may have just gotten yardage at the Fat Quarter Shop but I'm not sure. I saw this on their home page under new today, but they may have meant precuts. It might be worth checking out!
