More Trail Mix

There is something so soothing and relaxing about getting in a rhythm doing the same block. Once you get all the pieces cut, you can just let your mind wander while all the little squares become bigger squares.
I am so enjoying these reproduction fabrics. My triple four patch are all done and it's on to the next block. All my double 4 patch are also done.
Think I'll start the double 9 patch next - that seems to be the most difficult. Then it will be smooth sailing to the end. I can't wait until I start laying out this quilt. Hope I like it as well as the picture.
I also need to say that it's the June 2004 issue, not April as I said earlier. Have a great day.
Until next time, make something beautiful.

Good looking blocks, Karen.

I did a swap with triple four patch blocks with some friends a few years ago and made a similar quilt. In fact one of the girls laid out her blocks in similar fashion.

I have always liked quilts with chains of light color running through the darks. Lots of sewing in those little pieces. A very good quilt.

These blocks knock my socks off -- I love them! This is going to be a dynamite quilt. And don't you just love how a simple block can be so gorgeous when you repeat it in great fabrics? Happy stitching -

there were three quilts in Houston where three people did a block swap and it shown all three quilts and how each person arranged these blocks.... they really looked fabulous. we, three were quite taken with the ones with the off center layouts... great project!

The quilt looks complicated, but broken down into units as you're making them-- not as intimidating.
Your fabrics are great, and it'll be a gorgeous Q when it's done. I like a asymmetrical layout.

It's looking great. I love some of the fabrics and I'll be interested to see how you lay it out.

I'm so happy to see that you've figured out how to sew in your sleep. Now will you tell the rest of us how you do it? :-) The blocks are gorgeous!

That's a pattern I've always loved, I have a version of it from another magazine. Your fabric choices are wonderful.

I've been staring at this for days! I LUV IT. Yummy. Wish I had that magazine pattern but alas, I don't. If I didn't I'd probably copy it but since I don't I went hunting for something I have that's sorta close. I'll keep you posted my friend. In friendship, *karendianne.
